I’ve been dairy free for 8 days and the improvement in my skin is amazing. My 11 year old commented on it last night. I am already a believer, and I can’t wait to see what changes the next 8 days will yield!
It is hard to find foods that are healthy and portable. I highly recommend Lara Bars. You can break them into little pieces for long runs or bikes, and consume while your working out!
So many packages look healthy and claim healthful ingredients and benefits. I think this is one product that actually delivers!
Just had a dermaplaning from It’s a Girl Thing Owner, Kristi Owens. She reminded me of something I have heard from other skin care professional over the years; there is a link between dairy and acne. As someone who has struggled with acne for most of my lifetime, and hates to take prescription drugs, I decided to give it a try. I will report the results, and promise to consume calcium in its many other nutritious forms. Bye, bye, easy to eat cheese sticks!
I know you’re saying, “What could be healthy about Fritos?” That’s why this “Frito Pie”, doesn’t include Fritos. There are only three things required to make this healthified version, and it is loaded with protein!
Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips – with or without flax or sesame seeds
Reduced fat mozzarella cheese stick
Place desired amount of madras lentils in the bottom of a bowl
Crumble desired amount of chips and place over lentils
Add desired amount of mozzarella cheese
Word of caution:
There is a lot of sodium in all of the foods I just mentioned, so don’t overdue it on portion size, even though the calorie content is reasonable.
Purchase several measuring bowls and glass measuring cups. Eat straight from them.
I know, it sounds overly simple, and it is! I don’t recommend using this technique for a fancy sit down meal, but when there’s no one else around, this is the way to go!
